Accompaniments
Once you have ordered your invitations, gotten them addressed and mailed, it is time to think about completing the rest of your stationery trousseau.

Thank You Notes or Informal Notes - Married Stationery: Stationery for writing your wedding thank you notes as well as for married formal stationery for all occasions.
.
Maiden Thank You Notes: Stationery for writing your thank you notes for gifts received at bridal showers and gifts received before the wedding.

Stationery to write notes for gifts you have received is probably the next important thing for you to purchase. We suggest     custom letterpress, engraved or thermography notes. Or for a lesser expense, flat or lithography notes. You may select from many different colors of cardstock. We can design a custom monogram using the same fonts used on your wedding invitations. Or, we could create them using artwork that you provide to us. Example: One of our clients was given a hand drawn monogram design as wedding gift, which we printed as a thermographed note.

Wedding Programs and Order of Service: If you would like a wedding program we suggest that you iron out the details of your wedding ceremony with your officiant at least six weeks before the wedding.

Usually, the ceremony information comes first in a program, followed by the wedding party, then any message from the bride and groom at the end. Visit our program page to view a sample program text and for more information about our custom programs.

You will need to type your wedding program text weather you are ordering your program out of an album or if you have ordered one of our custom designs. You just type the text in order of the ceremony, wedding party, etc.

When you meet with us to order your program, we will discuss the possible layouts, cardstock and paper colors, ribbon
(if desired), ink color best suited for your wedding theme. We can even try to match the program to your invitations by using the same paper, ink and font(s).

If you like the idea of doing your own programs, we will provide you with DYO-WOH (Do Your Own-Who Our Help) to give you the professional results you want. This means we will print, cut, score, and hole punch the pieces for you. These are details of the program that can make the difference between having a program that looks like a knock-out or one that looks homemade. All you have to do is cut, string, and tie the ribbons.

Placecards and Seating Cards: These are usually small scored and folded cards with your guests handwritten or calligraphied. Other options include cards created to fit frames or pewter chairs. They may be created from the same cardstock used to create your wedding program.

They could be adorned with ribbon or include a custom monogram.

We only use quality heavy cardstock for placecards because it is important that the cards stand up without falling over easily on the table.

We suggest that you have both sides of the card have your guests names on them so that people who do not know one    another can easily communicate and determine their relationship to the bride and groom.

Table Number or Table Name Cards for Table Tents: If not supplied by your caterer, these cards may be created to match your place cards or seating cards.  We suggest taking this opportunity to have some fun and personalize your guest tables if you desire and have the time to do this.  Make a list of events or places you have been with your fiancée that are important to you as a couple and write a little something if you wish, or simply, use this place or event as a name for the table.  The other alternative is to use “fancy” numbers for the tables.  Either way, the table cards for the tents are printed on each side so no matter which direction from which you approach the table, you may see the card name or number.  Some couples also include a printed picture of them at the event on each side of the card.  Have fun with this, and give us at least two weeks to begin this work before the wedding.  Most hotels and banquet centers will furnish the appropriate holder for your tent card(s).  If not, this card can be made as a double sided printed, cut, scored, and folded card and placed in the centerpiece on the table.

Guest Itineraries: A week-end of events planned for you guests can be summarized in a booklet form with dates, times,      locations, and suggested dress attire for each day, reservations required, and a map included helps get guests to each location and event.  Our sample includes the map printed on the back side of the last page of the booklet for easy reference.  view sample

This is another project that you can DIY when we design it, typeset it, print it, punch the holes and trim the sheets.  In other words, you may DIY – WOH…do it yourself with our help (or expertise) for that you the end result looks professional. Copies of guest itineraries are often placed in gift baskets which are delivered to the hotel by a florist for guests to receive at check-in.  view samples

Menus: Many brides like to use the theme color(s) of their wedding in every printed piece….from invitations, to programs, and menus and table tent cards and place cards or seating cards.

Sometimes, a coordinating color is used with the main color or layers of cardstock with one of the colors being chosen for the actual ink color.

Menus vary in size and elaboration, are adorned with ribbon or not, and can be set with the couple’s names and wedding date or  monogram.  Some individual articles are referring to the monogram as a couple’s logo implying that it is more than a typographical arrangement of letters but also a motif is selected.  These couples are using this “logo” on all or many of their printed accompaniments including napkins, bookmarks, etc.

A meeting with one of our wedding stationery consultant experts is all you will need to be guided in your own vision of how you want these pieces created.  We do our very best to work within your budget guidelines, and to provide you with a           realistic idea of what these pieces will cost.

Your  banquet co-ordinator or chef will supply you with a copy of the printed menu and this information may be emailed to us for a typographical layout and proof.

Seating Chart: A seating arrangement chart may be a luxury item, and it is a wonderful addition to show guests where each table is in the banquet room.   We have designed this as large as 24 by 36 for framing.  A complete hand drawing of the room and the layout is provided for us to graphically create and print.  Clients usually mat and frame their own charts.

A-Z Guest List Chart: A guest list of each couple or single person with their guest name listed beneath it is created on a        similar size chart to the one above, and again, framed and matted, and placed on an easel for guests to find their way to their tables.  Here the seating card or place card is placed in front of the place setting.   If a menu is provided, it is placed on the top plate.

Bookmarks: Are sometimes used as favors and instead of a menu, this is placed on the plate or at the setting.

PIAT:  Putting it all together: Our goal is to take your input which we need, help you decide on what you want, get the papers, etc. approved, provide proofs, and take the anxiety out of the professional look you want for the best price and provide you with insanely excellent customer service.  We help you start with a BIG PICTURE PLAN.  We want to provide you with the most for your printing dollars by ordering the stock required in large enough size sheets and quantity to print ALL of the pieces, and have the wedding stationery match. A guest itinerary does NOT have to be printed on as high end a cardstock as invitations and programs, for example, and still may require several sheets per out of town guest.

Pricing: Cost vary according to (1) amount of typesetting, (2) cost and quality of cardstock (3) the number of negatives and plates made for printing (4) time it takes to print and cut, and types of cuts…e.g. Victorian edging on seating cards, etc. (5) number of pages, or layers of cardstock, (6) Cost of and quantity of ribbon required to assemble the pieces where it is required. (7) Quantities provided.  Please make an appointment, to discern the above variables with us, and we will furnish you with estimates on the work required.  Prototypes of programs are produced or a sample shown of our work like your finished product will be shown to you so that you know what the end result will look like.
